| Mis-club - Where a golfer uses an incorrect club for their shot. |
| Mis-read - Where a golfer does not read the green correctly, therefore putts incorrectly. |
| Mixed foursome - Two teams where each team has one female and one male golfer. |
| Model swing - A completely expert swing. |
| Muff - When a golfer incorrectly hits a shot. |
| Mulligan - When a golfer is allowed to take a second shot in friendly play when they have incorrectly hit their first shot. |
